Boost Your Search Engine Optimization With These Ladies
boost your SEO

As a web designer and business consultant, I often get asked by others how can they boost their S.E.O. or get found on google, stat. Although I’m always open to share tips on what I’ve learned I’m no expert on S.E.O. by no means. I just started getting into blogging around 2 years ago after a need of wanting to bring in income in my sleep and not have to sit at the computer all day designing websites and stationery or answering client questions over the phone for hours.

Having 2 kids has forced me to streamline my business and add new sources of income. Blogging is one of them and I love it. It has allowed me to bring in income through affiliate marketing, royalties from graphic design work, and paid posts and advertisement. Although I am fairly new, I can tell you that seeing results of building your SEO takes time (like from 6 months to even a year). Why, because after you’ve made all your changes, added key words, pinned your posts, created back-links, created cover images, added short descriptions to your images, etc, you have to wait for search engines like google to finally grab on to your content for others to find. So be PATIENT AND CONSISTENT with what you post and how you post.

When I’m in need of a little SEO help and could use some tips, there are a few other experts and bloggers that I look to. I’ve put their tips to good use just by reading their blogs but some of them offer services, courses, and e-books as well.

Here’s a round up of my favorite strategists on SEO.

Hopefully some of their suggestions and services can help you increase your website traffic and following💕

App Spotlight: Curate The Perfect Instagram Feed
instagram app | lovetlhayden

I’ve talked about the Plann App many times here on the blog and on instagram. I’ve been using it for the past 2 years and it has not only helped me grow my instagram but it helps me keep my feed looking consistent as well.

When I first started using it, I had the free version until I felt comfortable using it. I now have the Premium version which allows you to maintain up to 3 accounts. If you just have one main account and looking to step your IG game up, I suggest the Basic plan for $5 per month.

Once you join, it can tell you what type of post do well with your audience, when your best times to post are and it will give you a color scheme based off your images. I tell my clients everyday to figure out a consistent way to catch the eyes of their followers and come up with a brand color scheme.

Using a color scheme on Instagram and in general is a clever way to show off your brand and become recognizable. Other brand recognition tips are using a post pattern (such as picture, quote, picture) or by always using the same filter on photos.

Not only can you schedule post with captions for IG but you can schedule your IG stories too. You put the day and time you want the post to go out and a notification will let you know when it’s time to send it off. I also love that you can save and categorize your hashtags. The app will also let you know which hashtags are doing well for you and which ones aren’t.

P.S. Instagram allows you to use 30 hashtags per post. That’s 30 ways to market yourself to others. I kind of never pass up the opportunity to use all 30.

I dare you to try the free version for two weeks everyday and see how it works for you. Interested in a brand audit from me. I’ll give you a break down of apps to use, suggestions, tips and more so you can get an idea of what to do to keep your brand looking consistent on your website and social media. Just contact me.

Recent Work: Full Custom Logos

This week I finally finished my last batch of fully customized logos and it feels so good☺️ Although I’ve added these to my portfolio I have decided to no longer provide this service to customers. Instead I will be offering pre-designed logo concepts that customers can make their own or help them to find other designers through my blog who may fit their needs. Why the change? Fully custom logos take up a lot of back and forth time, phone calls, and energy. At this moment, I am home with my toddler and he requires more of my attention. These past two years though, I’ve fell in love with blogging and I’m finally figuring out how to make it work for me and my love for art, creativity and design. I am excited to continue sharing tips, finds, and inspiration to other female entrepreneurs, mompreneurs, and bloggers, especially those who are just starting out. To keep up with what I’m doing, my shop, and more, subscribe to the e-newsletter if you haven’t already!
